2016

Ever have that uncontrollable urge to visit Boring, Columbia, Forestville, Springfield, or Mount Pleasant?  Well, sorry to disappoint you, this wont be your year.  Much more “interesting” sites will be the order of the day.

The 2016 Mason Dixon 20-20 “Say What” will be a grand excursion throughout the mid-Atlantic region in search of places that may leave you scratching your head utter disbelief or is it scratching udders in head relief.   Either way, you will be awestruck at the epicness of these bonus locations.

Whether you are brand new to the world of endurance riding, or a multi-IBR finisher, I am inviting you to come east and join our little rally over the Memorial Day weekend.

Here’s some answers to your basic questions:

  • Will there be any bonus locations in big cities?

Absolutely, along with seaside tourist traps and mountain refuges.

  • Will there be a need to traverse questionable roads through the Appalachians?

Need- that’s the rider’s call; however, there will be bonus locations buried in the hills and vales of Deliverance country and you will be warned if a non-paved road is required to access a location. Interesting factoid- gravel is considered a type of pavement.

  • Will i be expected to ride big miles to be competitive?

Probably not, but again that is a rider choice. We stress the importance of using that thing between your ears instead of overcoming poor routing choices with the excessive application of the right hand. Hyper speeding on the East Coast usually gets you nothing but trouble or instant jail time depending on the jurisdiction. And you can leave your Valentine Ones/ Escorts at home, they are nearly useless in Pennsylvania and illegal in Virginia & DC.

  • How long have you been doing this?

This will be the 17th Mason Dixon 20-20 and we will be celebrating in the style you would expect from an event held in West Virginia.

You can anticipate some of the finest motorcycling roads in our nation, great food [complete with a fantastic Memorial Weekend Barbecue], the best rally staff and camaraderie that is second to none. If you are a successful finisher, you will receive the documentation necessary to join the Iron Butt Association.
